





In addition, we offer annual influenza vaccinations to all patients aged 65 and over and all patients deemed to be in an 'at risk' group. We also offer vaccination against pneumonia for all patients aged 65 or over, as recommended by the Department of Health.
Do You Know Your Health Risks When Travelling Abroad?

We offer a comprehensive service for patients travelling abroad including advice and immunisations. Some vaccinations and medications are not available under the NHS and therefore a charge is made.
Always check whether you need any immunisations or malarial tablets before you travel.
Seek advice well in advance in case you need a course of injections.
Make an appointment with the Practice Nurse at least six weeks before departure

They are seen by Jackie Hall –Lead Diabetic Practice Nurse with specialist training and qualification in both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. She is supported by Dr Maryam (who oversees more complicated patients and runs specialist clinics twice monthly).
Annual reviews, diet and lifestyle education including referral to X-Pert education and regular monitoring is performed. Those patients who require insulin initiation together with dose adjustment are also seen and supported within the practice thus saving needless journeys to Secondary Care.
By supporting our patients and monitoring them regularly we aim to recognise and reduce the risks of long term diabetic complications and to enable our patients to lead a healthier lifestyle.
