Swine Flu

If you or a friend or relative is suffering flu-like symptoms please follow the advice below:-

If you or the patient are in any of the following categories, please ring the Surgery.

• suffering from any other illness or condition
• are pregnant
• under 1 year of age
• a child whose condition has suddenly worsened
• suffering the symptoms for more than 7 days (5 days for a child)

If you are not in the above categories you can call the National Pandemic Flu Service. 0800 1 513 100

The service operator will check your symptoms and if they advise treatment then they will tell you / your friend where you can collect your FREE anti-viral medicine. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO VISIT THE SURGERY.

The Oval Clinic, Sherwood Park Avenue, Sidcup (8am - 8pm)

If you require anti-viral medicine you will be given a special code by the Help Line to take to the Sidcup Collection Point.

The person collecting the medicine must be well and will have to take identification for his/herself as well as the patient.

You will need a pen and paper handy to write down the information the Help Line will ask you about the patient.
